Foundation of Nigeria (CEAFON), is pleased to invite you to the Cancer Summit
2015 taking place from October 28th-29th, 2015 at the
prestigious Transcorp Hilton Hotels, Abuja.
This year’s conference is endorsed by
the Federal Ministry of Health and powered by Roche.
The event is aimed at addressing the
major challenges of diagnosis and treatment for Breast cancer in Nigeria by
bringing together key stakeholders involved in cancer care for a 2 Day workshop
and consensus meeting towards improving quality of care.
The theme of the Summit is ‘STOP
BREAST CANCER FROM TAKING HER LIFE’.
Discussions will cover strategies for
Breast Cancer prevention, Government Policy development, Diagnosis, Treatment,
Protocols and possible National guidelines, Patient assistance programs, Health
Insurance for Breast Cancer and other access initiatives. The education of
Health Care Practitioner and other stakeholders in this endeavour would be
discussed.

said “Our focus will be on creating awareness of the disease, rallying
stakeholders to collaborate in the fight against breast cancer, gaining firm
commitment from all stakeholders to step up their support in the fight against
breast cancer and to continuously engage the general public and all
participating stakeholders on the subject and their commitment.
“We anticipate over 500 diverse
stakeholders ranging from clinicians to policy makers to NGOs to Payers, Media
and the general public who share interest in all aspects of Breast cancer
diagnosis, treatment and funding. There will be numerous opportunities to gain
new knowledge, share technical and clinical experiences, network with other
participants, and make firm commitment towards saving the lives of our
daughters, sisters, wives and mothers.”
In addition to attending the
conference, we invite you to experience the city of Abuja, a planned city and
one of the few purpose-built capital cities in Africa.
It is envisaged that a National policy
guideline on treating Breast Cancer in Nigeria may evolve from this summit.
The Special Guest of Honour is Her
Excellency Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari and supported by Mr Linus Awute the
Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Health.
